it’s been a hell of a year. you started out 2-8, and yet you finished the season as se division champs. no one thought you’d even get to this point. backstrom, ovechkin, and ribeiro, finish with 56, 49 & 48 points respectively (landing them in the top 20 regular season point leaders). brouwer finishes with 19 goals in 47 games, his best since 22 goals in 78 games. holtby finishes the regular season with 2 assists and 4 shutouts. we’ve seen an un-drafted player shine (oleksy) and watched a recently drafted first-round pick in tom wilson make his nhl playoff debut in style (anyone lose any steel?). there were highs and lows, but overall? thank you for a great season, boys. we’ll see you next year.
